Sussex Webdesign
A look at numerous studies shows us that 73% of all searches online are local and within a 10-mile radius of where your business is based. If you type in sussex webdesign the word restaurant you will get a million and one options, which could cover the entire County or Country.
However if you type in say restaurant followed by your local village in my case it would be Henfield, you will get a choice that is very local to your search. You may even choose your closest town if you want to broaden your search or research dictates that there is more activity.
The keywords restaurant and in our example and Henfield have been optimized by those who have a website that has been optimized by the restaurant in the local area (Henfield) who want customers to know where they are.
SEO is short for Search Engine Optimization; in short, it is what gets your website keywords recognized by search engines.
Although Google is the most popular search engine all search engines have there own particular algorithm on how to rank your website and all websites have to be presented to the search engines in a particular way to stand a chance to get a high ranking.
If you have a website and it may be a very well-designed eye-catching site, but if it is not optimized for your keywords nobody will ever find you, the analogy I like is it is like having a billboard in the middle of the desert.
